Join and help Gnome Art community ? For sure !
I am not really what we could call a *great coder*, but I can have -sometimes, when I find back my brain- some ideas.
Anyway, I would be really pleased to take part in an amazing project such as the Gnome desktop, and this seems to be a great first step to do so.
At worst, I mean if I don’t help you, I am sure I will enjoy myself.

I would like to help the GNOME project too. But my english is not very good, I have never coded in C with GObject, and… lots of thing.
But I am trying to learn more about this fantastic project to help make it better.

Though some people are not proficient in English or coding, there are things that do not require these skills such as moderation, bug reports management, etc. I believe Thomas Wood wants to delegate his tasks to contributors already rather than doing all admin things himself

Of course. Like every team there are tasks that require moderation, stuff that requires coding, something artistic skills… since we would really like to have more voices and ideas (even with simple mockups or just for some opinions), everyone who wants to contribute to the free software may help

What GNOME needs isn’t more artists, but more designers. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to think they’re the same thing.

I would like to join the gnome-art team. But unfortunately I’m not a good coder. I haven’t any experience in coding.
But I would like to help to design icons for gnome. Please visit my page to see some of my work. Actually the site is in german, but I will make an english version in the next weeks. http://www.simpel-stil.de
Maybe you like some of these icons. It would be like “a dream come true” if I could help the gnome (especially for 3.0) desktop environment.
So, what is the best way to join? IRC?
