Syncing Tomboy Notes with Dropbox 11 October, 2008
…It’s just easy as creating a Tomboy folder inside Dropbox’s Shares and do a local synchronization!

No closed source software for me. Thank you very much.
Open source can do the same thing. It is not like Linux is missing network enabled file systems.

I like the font rendering in your screenshot. Can you talk to what fonts, version of Freetype, patches etc, you are using to get this?

@6:
It’s default Sans with subpixel and hinting low/slight. You can do it with gnome’s appearance applet

I’m using mount –bind to synchronize tomboy, that way you don’t have to click “Synchronize” manually.

you can also just simlink from inside the Dropbox directory, to create a pointer from there to .tomboy. works here, anyway

@deno and @stephen o’grady: That won’t work if you use those instances of Tomboy simultaenously, as Tomboy doesn’t watch for changes to its note files. You could experience badness if you’re not careful.
