Firefox 3 ed il tema per Linux: Ormai è finito :) 14 November, 2007

Mentre Ossblog smentiva… il vostro buon Cimi, imperterrito e testardo più che mai , continuava ad affermare l’avvento del tema Firefox 3 per Linux…

…ebbene è praticamente finito

I miglioramenti

Già sul wiki di tango potete osservare come manchi veramente poco dal punto di vista delle icone, mentre sul bugzilla si legge che stanno per essere inviate le modifiche al tema grafico in modo che usi le icone native e i controlli (come toolbar e tabs) del tema GTK corrente.

Il nuovo tema si chiamerà Gnomestripe.

Theming the Focus Ring in Clearlooks: Call for Mockups! 10 November, 2007

I’m sorry for the italian community but I’m writing this post in english as I’m trying to get the widest possible feedback.

What?

In the last few days I’ve added the ability to theme the focus ring in the Clearlooks GTK Engine: normally the “focus ring” is the *dotted ring* you can see pressing the TAB key and moving between controls/widgets. That’s what we want to theme now

I don’t want to post my screenshot here, but I’d like to receive YOUR mockups.
Please link below in the comments, in an ordered way, your Gimp-shots. I will take them into account, certainly.
The highest priority is for buttons and tabs/notebook.
Please use the Clearlooks theme as a base for your mockup.

Nuove tabs per Clearlooks Gummy, non uccidetemi :) 5 November, 2007

Come da oggetto, stufo di alcune imperfezioni del gradiente (soprattutto con alcune combinazioni di colori), mi sono deciso a seguire quella fetta di persone che mi osteggiava… e sto testando. Testando significa che potrei tornare sui miei passi… solo che attualmente sono pienamente soddisfatto della modifica

Nuova release stable di Gtk-Engines 16 October, 2007

Stiamo per rilasciare la 2.12.2, che vanta delle seguenti migliorie:

Miglioramenti nella toolbar (meno grassoccia, più rifinita, ora è un ottimo compromesso)

Qualche fix di colori sballati in alcune combobox (tipo in nautilus)

Workaround per il bottone “nuovo” nella toolbar di evolution (la toolbar sarà piatta finchè evolution non verrà fixato)

Piccole migliorie agli angoli del notebook in caso di presenza di frecce (evolution e gedit ora hanno l’angolo rotondo con il notebook pieno di schede)

Miglioramenti nei menu, meno spazi tra il separatore e le voci successive (che tra l’altro prima era pure “decentrato”)

Progressbars dei menu fixate

Gnome 2.22: The “Grande Art” remake? 2 August, 2007

Si parlava (anzi io proponevo e tenevo sveglio il povero andreas che voleva giustamente dormire) di fare un wallpaper ufficiale per gnome 2.20 ed è saltato fuori un commentino davvero interessante Lo vedete anche voi?

Ancora non è il momento forse si specularci sopra… ma tra supporto alle animazioni direttamente dalle gtk, nuovi sfondi, completa copertura del gnome-icon-theme a tutto il desktop… Potrebbe saltar fuori qualcosa di carino!
Speriamo… io non ho molta voglia di “tirare fuori” un altro tema dopo Gummy, lavorarci da solo è veramente stancante… (purtroppo non abbiamo, oltre a me, “designer di interfacce” nel vero senso della parola, perchè gli altri sviluppatori di gtk-engines si occupano del noioso ma indispensabile lavoro di bugfixing)… soprattutto perchè spero “basti” visto che lo sto usando da maggio e non mi ha annoiato per niente!
